LEED-NC Certification
Nexant provides technical support to projects pursuing certification by the U. S. Green Building Council 's Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) program. Nexant's LEED modeling services help facility owners and developers to achieve LEED certification for New Construction, Core and Shell, and Existing Buildings.

Specifically, we support LEED credits in the energy and atmosphere, indoor environmental quality, and innovation and design process categories.

Our services will fulfill both the Fundamental and Enhanced Commissioning requirements under the LEED Core and Shell program.

Nexant's LEED-accredited professionals have expertise in commissioning, recommissioning, energy simulation modeling, building systems optimization, and measurement and verification, and HVAC design, as well as LEED administration and facilitation.

Design Assistance
For other new construction projects, Nexant provides design assistance, modeling, economic analysis, and commissioning support.

Our energy design assistance provides whole building, integrated design reviews that include building owners, architects, and engineers. All building systems (envelope, HVAC, lighting, refrigeration, controls) are modeled against energy codes and standards. The modeling results are shared with the design team and building owners who then collaborate to find optimal solutions accounting for energy savings, construction and operating costs, and inhabitant comfort, functionality, and other considerations.

Commissioning
Commissioning (Cx) services are essential to the delivery of a quality energy efficiency project, whether a whole building or major new installations. As a commissioning agent, Nexant tests energy systems and equipment in new construction projects to ensure that all energy-related systems are operating according to their optimized design specifications and meet the owner's requirements in the most energy-efficient manner possible. Our services can fulfill both the fundamental and enhanced commissioning requirements under the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED Core and Shell program.

Our engineers and consultants have experience in design assistance, system optimization, energy simulation modeling, HVAC design, and measurement and verification of energy savings, as well as an understanding of and experience with LEED-NC and LEED-CS specifications and procedures.
