Nexant administers and provides technical services for utility new construction programs, providing both design assistance and commissioning services to commercial and industrial program participants.

Design Assistance
For utility DSM program administrators, Nexant provides sustainable design consulting services as an independent third-party program administrator for individual building projects.

Design services may include LEED facilitation services for buildings pursuing LEED-NC or LEED-CS certification. Our consultants and engineers have both programmatic and hands-on experience to guide building owners, architects, engineers, and contractors through a sustainable design process that can result in LEED certification. Our LEED-accredited professionals have expertise in commissioning, recommissioning, energy simulation modeling, building systems optimization, measurement and verification, as well as LEED administration and facilitation.

Nexant also develops and implements measurement and verification plans, and conducts program evaluations. We participate in the LEED rating systems of the U.S. Green Building Council and currently provide guidance to the USGBC on appropriate M&V standards for LEED.

Commissioning
Nexant is a premier provider of whole facility commissioning (Cx) services. We test energy systems and equipment in new construction projects to ensure that all energy-related systems are operating according to their optimized design specifications and meet the owner's requirements in the most energy-efficient manner possible.

Our services can fulfill both the fundamental and enhanced commissioning requirements under the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED Core and Shell program.
