International Energy Efficiency Services
Assisting Energy Sector Development
Development requires a stable energy supply, infrastructure, and, increasingly, clean energy in order to attain—and sustain—the full economic benefits of reliable energy supply, the environmental benefits of clean air, soil, and water, and the social benefits of job creation.
Nexant's international practice plays an influential role in integrated national and regional energy policy and planning, developing energy markets, and facilitating innovative approaches to the financing of energy infrastructure and energy efficiency technologies in many parts of the world.
Our experience encompasses a wide range of projects-from supporting the development of regional energy markets in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East to managing a $45 million credit line for residential energy incentives in Bulgaria; from providing advisory services that leveraged $600 million in World Bank loans for power sector upgrades in Nigeria to developing a DSM manual for use by state-owned electric utilities in China; and from conducting an energy efficiency market potential study for the Saudi Ministry of Electricity and Water to assessing solar and wind potential at industrial facilities in Puerto Rico.
Since our inception in the year 2000, we have completed more than 2,000 projects in 70 countries through offices in the United States, Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Areas we support include:
