BOARD OF DIRECTORS Arjun Gupta, Chairman Mr. Gupta is the founder and managing partner of TeleSoft Partners and has over 20 years of experience working with technology companies in venture capital, consulting, and design engineering roles. At TeleSoft, he manages capital commitments of over $625 million and has helped to build over 61 private companies, resulting in approximately 32 mergers, acquisitions, and IPOs having a combined current market equity valuation or cash equivalent of more than $18 billion. Mr. Gupta was ranked by Forbes magazine in the top 100 technology venture investors on the 2006, 2007, and 2008 Midas Lists. C. Scott Hartz Mr. Hartz is recognized as a pioneer in leading transformational business solutions for Fortune 500 global enterprises and as a specialist in the commercialization of early-stage technologies from universities, government, and private research institutions His career in management consulting with Price Waterhouse and PricewaterhouseCoopers that culminated in his appointment as Global CEO of PwC Consulting spans more than three decades and includes experience with over 70% of the Fortune 500 global enterprises as well as numerous small businesses and governments throughout the world. In 1999 and 2000, Mr. Hartz was named one of Consulting Magazine's top 10 most influential consultants. Sir John Jennings Sir John Jennings spent his entire career with Shell, primarily in the exploration and production area. He began his Shell career in Oman and Australia, subsequently becoming managing director of Shell Expro—Shell's major operating company in the U.K. sector of the North Sea. He was appointed a group managing director in 1987 after joining the board of The Shell Transport and Trading Co. Plc—the British parent company of the Royal Dutch/Shell Group—which he chaired from 1994-1997. Sir John currently has advisory roles with Toyota, Bechtel, and JP MorganChase. Sir John was appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 1985 and knighted in 1997. Preston R. Miller Mr. Miller is a founding partner of The Beacon Group, a private equity and advisory partnership which was acquired by the Chase Manhattan Corporation in 2000 (now J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.). He is also partner and co-head of The Beacon Group Energy Funds (an affiliate of J.P. Morgan Partners) which holds a portfolio of investments in 30 companies throughout the energy industry, from upstream to power generation and energy technology. Prior to the formation of The Beacon Group, Mr. Miller spent 14 years at Goldman, Sachs & Co. where he was a vice president in the Structured Finance Group with global responsibility for the independent power industry, asset-backed power generation, and oil and gas financing. Professor Ernest J. Moniz Dr. Moniz is a professor of physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he has been on the faculty since 1973. He previously served as head of the Department of Physics and as director of the Bates Linear Accelerator Center. During the last four years of the Clinton administration, he served as undersecretary of the U.S. Department of Energy, where he managed research initiatives in areas such as energy system reliability, ultraclean fuels, international clean energy collaboration, carbon sequestration, ultra-deep offshore exploration and production technologies, and advanced nuclear fuel cycle concepts. From 1995 to 1997, Dr. Moniz was associate director for science in the Office of Science and Technology Policy, Executive Office of the President. Basem Y. Sarandah Mr. Sarandah is the president, CEO, and founder of Nexant, Inc. and has over 24 years of experience in managing consulting and technology development organizations. Prior to leading the formation of Nexant in 2000, he was a principal vice president of Bechtel Group, Inc. and general manager of Bechtel's Technology and Consulting (BTeC) unit and Bechtel Software, Inc (BSI). During his tenure, BTeC emerged as a leading provider of technology commercialization and consulting services, and BSI became a leading developer of engineering and work-process software products. Paul Unruh Mr. Unruh has more than 30 years of senior level professional experience in accounting, finance, and management. He is the former vice chairman of Bechtel Group, Inc., where he also served as manager of financial systems development, treasurer, and controller. While president of Bechtel Enterprises, he was responsible for investments in internet infrastructure and privatized power, airports, water, rail, and telecommunications.
