INDUSTRY CONSULTANTS—OIL AND GAS—LONDON, HOUSTON, AND BANGKOK

Nexant is an internationally renowned energy consultancy. We advise international companies, governments, and financial institutions on technical, market, and financial issues in the oil, gas, petrochemical, and power sectors.

Our oil and gas business unit is undergoing significant growth and we are seeking highly qualified candidates to further develop and lead new business opportunities through the recruitment of high-calibre staff in our Bangkok, Houston, and London offices.

The oil and gas practice provides specialist advice on resource evaluations, licensing, market strategy, and pricing, along with technical and commercial support for oil, gas, and LNG developments. In the natural gas sector we provide policy and regulatory guidance to governments. We also specialize in master planning for hydrocarbon-based industrial developments.

Principal Consultants

Principal consultants are expected to manage projects, develop and win new work from existing and new clients, develop new offerings, develop staff, and manage key accounts. The successful candidates will have:

  • Exceptional personal credibility and leadership skills
  • A minimum of 15 years experience in the sector, with 5 years of consulting experience
  • A proven track record of business development in developing advisory assignments in the oil and gas sector
  • An extensive network of high-profile industry contacts

Consultants and Senior Consultants

Senior consultants are expected to manage workstreams and medium-size projects, make a significant contribution to winning new work, and play a leading role in developing key accounts. Successful consultant and senior consultant candidates should be team players with:

  • A minimum of 5 years oil and gas industry experience or experience in a blue chip consultancy
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent academic qualifications
  • Good communications skills
