PETROLEUM REFINING CONSULTANT—HOUSTON, TX OR WHITE PLAINS, NY

We are currently seeking an experienced petroleum refining consultant to participate in project teams, with a primary focus on analysis and project execution. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of the economic, technical, and strategic issues of importance to the global refining industry. The position will be based in either Nexant's Houston, TX or White Plains, NY offices.

Responsibilities

• Participation as a core member of engagement teams, with a focus on study execution
• Market Nexant's downstream consulting services to North American and Latin American clients
• Develop and/or maintain familiarity with selected segments of the industry, including refining and gas processing, as well as links to petrochemicals
• Interact with and support other Nexant consulting offices and project teams

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering required; MBA is a plus
• Approximately 10 years of experience in the commercial and technical areas of the refining industry, including short-term scheduling/optimization, medium-/long-term investment planning, technical support, project implementation, financial analysis, and business planning
• Excellent oral and written communications and interpersonal skills. Spanish capability a plus
