PETROCHEMICAL INDUSTRY BUSINESS CONSULTANT—GLOBAL CHEMICALS—BANGKOK

Nexant is home to the largest specialized global petroleum and chemical industry-based consulting practice in the world, with key offices in London, New York, Houston, and Bangkok. We provide expert advisory services to the industry as well as governments and financial institutions.

We are expanding our Asian-based consulting services, and seek to recruit dynamic and experienced staff who can demonstrate a strong interest in and understanding of the technical and commercial aspects of the industry. These openings may include travel as well as training opportunities in Nexant's global offices.

In general, successful candidates should demonstrate:
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, with clear fluency in spoken and written English
  • Strong technical degree in chemical engineering or equivalent
  • High computer literacy
  • Flexibility, including ability to meet tight deadlines, work on multiple engagements, and assist with business development activities
  • Good intellectual ability, with desire to broaden experience into sectors related to their area of specialist knowledge

Qualifications and Experience—Petrochemical Industry Business Consultant

Nexant's Global Chemicals business unit provides a range of commercial, technical, financial and business consulting services to the major chemical companies throughout the world. Successful candidates should be able to undertake their own analysis and synthesis of client problems and be capable of presenting results effectively. After appropriate training and experience, the candidate would be expected to undertake business development work with clients in the region. Qualifications and experience include:
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High degree of motivation; track record as a self-starter
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the petrochemical industry
  • Experience in business development, planning, and project engineering is a plus
  • B.Sc., preferably in chemical engineering or similar field; MBA a plus
  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to write and present well
  • High degree of computer literacy
