PROJECT MANAGER—ENERGY EFFICIENCY / ENERGY MANAGEMENT—CHANDLER, AZ

We are currently seeking a project manager in energy efficiency, energy management, and green buildings applications for our Chandler, AZ office. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing staff who are reviewing energy efficiency projects, conducting energy engineering analyses, and writing reports. Additional duties include maintaining client relationships and developing new business.

The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the position. Our clients include public agencies, private and investor-owned utilities administering ratepayer-funded energy efficiency programs, energy end users, and energy service companies.

We are also seeking junior- and senior-level engineers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage three to six fulltime engineers
  • Maintain quality control of all deliverable products, demonstrating technical excellence, objectivity, and clarity while maintaining project schedules
  • Meet with clients to co-manage projects, present results, and develop new scopes of work
  • Develop new business opportunities
  • Meet overall budget and profitability targets

Experience and Education

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in mechanical, architectural, electrical or civil engineering or sustainable building practices
  • P.E. preferred
  • Industry contacts preferred
  • An understanding of building systems (particularly HVAC), thermodynamics, and heat transfer
  • Minimum of 6 years experience within the utility, energy efficiency, or building efficiency industry
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deliverable deadlines and budgets
  • Excellent analytical, writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills
