PROJECT ENGINEERS (SENIOR)—CALIFORNIA, COLORADO, UTAH, NEW YORK, TEXAS, AND WISCONSIN

We are currently seeking senior project engineers for several Nexant offices. Successful candidates will be responsible for leading technical efforts and support with project management tasks in the area of energy efficiency and building systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in business unit management, marketing, and business development for Nexant's Energy and Carbon Management business unit
  • Manage multiple projects, ensuring quality of deliverable and completion of project on time and within budget
  • Assign tasks to project team members and provide advanced technical direction to junior staff
  • Manage client and future client interactions and relations
  • Write reports to summarize results and to recommend savings amounts and incentive payments

Experience and Education

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in mechanical, architectural, electrical, or civil engineering strongly preferred; P.E. strongly preferred
  • From 4 to 6+ years of experience within the energy efficiency or building efficiency industry
  • Advanced technical knowledge and understanding of building systems (particularly HVAC), thermodynamics, heat transfer, trends in energy efficiency programs, and project management and consulting methods and practices
  • Excellent writing, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • P.E. and C.E.M. (or on track to receive) is desirable
  • Experience in energy modeling strongly desired
