Generalized State Estimation

GEN-SE® is the next generation of power system state estimators based on powerful orthogonal transformations. Unlike other estimators, it estimates a system’s state, topology, and network impedances to construct the statistically best model needed for online monitoring and optimization functions.

It currently holds the record as the routine solver (every five minutes) of the world’s largest state estimation application—more than 12,000 buses—in the regional security center of the Mid-America Interconnected Network (MAIN).

GEN-SE’s features include:
