Nexant's Grid Management experts from the Chandler, AZ office will be speaking at FERC's Technical Conference this week.  Agenda can be accessed here. Their presentation is on Wednesday, June 27 1:30PM EST.  Dr. Roger Treinen and Dr. Herminio Pinto of Nexant are co-presenting along with Dr. Jean-Paul Watson of Sandia National Laboratories and Dr. Kory Hedman, a professor at Arizona State University.  The session is titled, "Stochastic Look-Ahead Unit Commitment for Intra-Day and Real-Time Management of Distributed Renewable Generation and Demand Response."  The advisory tool they developed for ISOs and utilities can enhance system security and improve energy market surplus.  It will also help ISOs and utilities enhance modeling and management of key operational uncertainties associated with distributed energy resources and other factors.
