Acquisition Expands Nexant's Strategic Solutions for Demand Side Management, Demand Response, Dynamic Pricing, and Utility Customer Engagement


SAN FRANCISCO – Nexant, the global energy software and services firm, announced today that it has acquired the San Francisco-based energy consultants Freeman, Sullivan & Company (FSC).

FSC has been at the forefront of integrating demand response into utility smart grid initiatives, complementing core areas of Nexant's software solutions and consulting services. FSC's expertise and reputation for excellence in the design and evaluation of behavioral interventions and demand response programs are critical to delivering strategic planning services to utility clients in today’s rapidly changing utility industry environment.  In addition, its ability to deliver “big data” solutions to both utilities and regulators facilitates accurate evaluations of the behavior of customers participating in utility energy savings programs.

Joining Nexant as part of the acquisition are founder and Chairman Michael Sullivan and CEO Stephen George.
