Nexant Executives Named Smart Grid Pioneers by Smart Grid Today Magazine

Nexant’s Terry Fry and Michael Alexander recognized for their leadership in modernizing the electric grid  

SAN FRANCISCO – Nexant, a leading provider of software and services for utilities, today announced that Terry Fry, Senior Vice President of Utility Services, and Michael Alexander, Vice President of Utility Services, were named 2015 Smart Grid Pioneers by Smart Grid Today magazine. The leading smart grid publication recognized the top 50 energy leaders who are pioneering changes in the industry based on exclusive interviews conducted over the past 16 months. Additional Smart Grid Pioneers include executives from Duke Energy, Xcel Colorado, PNM Resources and Southern California Edison.

Michael Alexander recently joined Nexant as Vice President of Utility Services and has more than 25 years of senior management experience at major California utility Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E). His expertise includes planning and operating customer programs, customer research, energy analysis and interconnection services. “I am honored to be named a Smart Grid Pioneer and ranked with such distinguished professionals dedicated to modernizing the electric grid,” said Alexander. “Having joined Nexant, I am glad to have additional opportunity to create a more sustainable energy future by helping our utility customers meet the challenges of today’s environment.”

As Senior Vice President of Utility Services, Terry Fry directs energy efficiency program services and strategic consulting studies across North America.
