Nexant Expert Adam Perry Joins PT Faculty at Lane Community College

Apr 13, 2021

Sometimes life comes full circle---we return to where we once came. When Adam Perry graduated from Lane Community College (Eugene, OR) in 2003, he was the student. Now in 2021, he returns as the teacher. In his words, “It's an honor to be asked to return to the Lane Community College’s Energy Management Program (EMP) as an Instructor to share my two decades of energy efficiency and software experiences with the future energy efficiency professionals of our industry."

As a part-time instructor within the Applied Science in Energy Management Online Associates Program, Adam will be teaching the Energy Efficiency Industry Software Applications course. This course is the perfect fit with Adam’s current role at Nexant, where he oversees Nexant’s iEnergy Software’s customer success. iEnergy is an energy enterprise software that transforms business processes and enables implementation of smart grid, clean energy, and demand management initiatives.

As the first program of its kind in the United States, Lane's Energy Management Program successfully trains students to evaluate energy patterns, identify energy-efficiency projects, and implement solutions for energy-related issues. Roger Ebbage, Program Coordinator, adds "Beginning in 1992, the Lane Community College Energy Management Program (EMP) has prepared Energy Efficiency professionals that serve in a variety of positions throughout the US. The EMP is currently working with the Department of Energy (DOE) to develop an apprenticeship program, which is very exciting!"

Lane Community College is excited to be able to add Adam Perry to it’s line up of instructors, who are leaders in their respective fields. At Nexant, Adam utilizes his past experiences and utility program knowledge to successfully create a positive experience for iEnergy software customers. We have no doubt that Adam will translate his knowledge and know-how into a shared positive experience that will help benefit the students far beyond the classroom.

Congratulations Adam!
