The State of Sustainable Fuels - A Market Overview

Nexant SVP Bruce Burke summarized the state of the sustainable aviation biofuels market at "Innovation in the Skies: Aviation's Adoption of Sustainable Fuels."

Nexant observes that the momentum for biorenewable jet fuel is strong. It can be made from any of a number of abundant sources of biomass, from algae to garbage. Conversion technologies are commercially deployed and inching toward being cost competitive with fossil fuels. And airlines are highly motivated to decrease their carbon footprints while cutting expenses.

"Innovation in the Skies" symposium took place on September 28, 2018 at the Willis Tower in Chicago. It was organized by United Airlines and Clean Energy Trust.
